Part of what I do is commercial illustration work for companies like the one that I did this brochure cover for. Commercial illustration can be quite challenging because you do not have the license to be totally flexible. This piece was done for the cover of this companies insulation products. I sold only the rights to reproduce the work on their brochure and kept the original to sell to private collectors.

Making Way - A commissioned work

This beautiful watercolor was commissioned by the wife of the captain of this vessel and presented to him on his birthday. The painting is one of two different commissioned pieces that I had the pleasure of painting for this family. Friendly Competitors...

This ORIGINAL WORK WAS ACCEPTED IN THE 2012 DUXBURY ART ASSOCIATIONS 39th ANNUAL WINTER JURIED EXHIBITION and was awarded 1ST PLACE IN WATERCOLOR. You instinctively know that each of these friendly competitors is less than forthcoming as they discuss the merits of the various strategies used when fishing for Giant Blue Fin Tuna. Hopefully, I captured the friendly competitiveness in this portrait of two valued friends.

Fish Hunter's at Palmetto Dunes...

Striking beauty abounds along the golf courses of South Carolina's Hilton Head Island. Here, at Palmetto Dunes, as I strolled along the walkways that wound thought the natural flora and fauna you may spot alligators basking on the golf greens or something as wonderful as this White Ibis waiting patiently for prey among the sun lit shores of this watering hole. It's the topographic beauty of Low country at its' best!

Heading East...

This lonely cat boat heads East toward the West entrance of the Cape Cod Canal. Under most conditions, the Wind is Southwest and Ideal for Sailing. For those that love cat boats, this is a great work to own.
