In a Nutshell About me

The Artistry of P. Anthony Visco

creative designer, painter in oils, acrylics and watercolor

P. Anthony Visco, a Plymouth, Massachusetts resident is rapidly becoming a well recognized and popular painter of Oils, Acrylics and Watercolors. He is a current member of the Plymouth Guild for the Arts, the Canton Art Association, the New Art Forum in Kingston, the North River Art Association and the New England Watercolor Society. This craggy old seasalt has one discernable talent...to pleasure us with his beautiful paintings. He is cantankerous by nature and although his first love is the sea, Tony's paintings focus heavily on his favorite New England scenes and abandoned objects found in unusual settings. He is the recipient of many juried art show awards including First Place in drawing, pastel and watercolor categories. What's amazing to those of us who know him is the softness and feeling he conveys in each painting. It is here that we see some otherwise hidden gentleness, and a tender respect for nature and the sea. Tony ‘s work has been featured in many art galleries on the South Shore, Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard as well as San Diego, California, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin and Tiverton, RI. Mr. Visco has also exhibited in a number of one-man shows.

My inspiration

As gentle giant waves move closer to the shallows, the swells crest creating foam which rains down and flattens out as it moves up the beach until the power behind it diminishes. Here we see a breaking waves foaming white water moving toward a group of rocks as receding water from the previous waves quickly moving back to sea meet more incoming water, creating turbulence among the rocky outcrop.

Sunlight plays wonders as it filters through the trees and onto the rolling hills and tree lined fairways of this 18 hole championship course at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Massachusetts.
